DESCRIPTION
The Student Services Building was created at the heart of the St. Petersburg/Gibbs Campus in place of the old library. It has been designed following sustainability principals and has acheived a LEED Gold rating; a first for St. Petersburg College. The main feature of this building is a two story space that will serve as the students' living room on campus. It will allow students to gather to colaborate and to study, while also allowing the flexibility to invite large discussion groups and provide convention/exhibit space for special events.
The first floor houses the security & I.D. offices, student government offices, meeting rooms, Student Services Department and the College Bookstore. The second floor will house the International Student Center & Art Gallery, the Charter High School and additional space for future needs.
The building, like the department it houses, shares the common goal of enhancing the living and learning experience of the students, staff, and faculty members on the campus.
